THE DESIGNER HOUSE 3.PARADIS IS PROUD TO PRESENT YOU ITS SPRING SUMMER 2016 COLLECTION ENTITLED “0.5: POST DYSTOPIA”
Paris, May 15, 2015.
A dystopia is an imaginary community or society that is undesirable or frightening. Such societies appear in many artistic works, particularly in stories set in a future. Dystopias are often characterized by dehumanization, environmental disaster, or other characteristics associated with a cataclysmic decline in society. Dystopian societies are often used to draw attention to real-world issues regarding society, environment, politics, economics, religion, psychology, ethics, science and technology, which if unaddressed could potentially lead to such a dystopia-like condition.
The post dystopia era paints a time where human race will face a very critical issue. In this era, human beings are completely dependent on the machines and lost control of their world. The system collapsed under its own weight and nature and technology are at war.
For this collection, the two designers studied the technological society and its interaction with nature. They took their inspiration from the wild nature, military wardrobe, gravity and the Japanese culture by reinventing their new age military poncho, luxury kimonos, MA-1 flight jacket, elongated Eisenhower jacket, and much more. This collection contains many themes with strong influences from philosophy and nature.
3.PARADIS collections tell a story – a story that keeps going season after season.
