ON IRA TOUS AU PARADIS
3.PARADIS Spring/Summer 2018 collection entitled “On Ira Tous Au Paradis”, translating to “We’ll all go to heaven” aimed to probe the question of what paradise really means to the new generation, retelling its response through a range of exclusive garments.
This collection is designed as the conceptual successor to Fall/Winter 2017’s “Paradis Perdu” (“Paradise Lost”) release. It explores the idea of reconstructing a safe haven and takes inspiration from the brand’s own unconventional path to paradise. Taking its cues from both past and present — combining a function-first agenda, nodding to a time when clothing was simply “a barrier between the skin and the environment,” with a sense of contemporary innovation
The brand has traveled back in time looking at the primitive concept and the origins of clothing, which were created to protect to conceal the body keeping it safe from the external elements, it has worked as a shield for the whole body and has evolved throughout times where silhouettes, layers and contrasting textures were added. This relationship and correlation between contrasting textures are seen throughout 3.Paradis’ SS18 and not only that, but the contrast is also seen in the color palette and prints.
